A picture of a Camellia mandala

Having trained at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, John graduated with the University of London Diploma in Fine Art. He then went on to study for a year at the Institute of Education in London, where he achieved the Art Teachers Certificate with Distinction.

John’s exhibitions of paintings, prints and photographs have appeared in many galleries in London including the ICA and his work has also been included in several touring exhibitions in the British Isles.

John’s approach to photography is twofold. Firstly, he has developed his photographic skills over many years, refining his technique to suit his subject matter. Secondly, and to John, more importantly, his passion for the subject and love of gardens and gardening, broadens with every passing season.

The balance of form, texture and colour. The different qualities of the light. The changing weather patterns throughout the year. All of these are a constant source of inspiration, delight and challenge. Every shoot presents chances to learn and a never ending opportunity to be surprised by the mysteries and glories of nature.

John Glover is a well known garden image maker whose clients include most of the world's major book, magazine, calendar and greeting card publishers. His extensive stock photography covers all areas of gardening and to a lesser extent, landscapes and food.
